Program Description

JOURNi’s Digital Explorers Club is an after-school pilot program for students in grades 5–8 that introduces technology through hands-on learning and creative exploration. Students will explore 3D printing, mobile app design and development, AI tools and ethics, drone careers, and design, while building confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

The program runs October 19–December 17, 2026, with sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15–4:45 p.m. at Ford Community Center East, 15491 Maddelein, Detroit, MI 48205. Snacks are provided every session, and students receive a gift card upon completion.
